Neurological Surgeon Dr. Robert P. Goldfarb Founded Western Neurosurgery, Ltd. in 1980 and has been active in the Neurology-Neurosurgical practice for more than 35 years. He was also Founding Chairman of the Carondelet Neurological Institute at St Joseph’s Hospital and previously served as an Advisor to the Carondelet Health Network Senior Management Team.
Dr. Goldfarb has had extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological injuries sustained in sports such as brain concussions and has served as a Neurosurgical Consultant for student athletes.
He obtained his M.D. degree from Tulane University of Medicine in New Orleans and did his internship in Chicago at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Goldfarb received his post-graduate training in Neurological Surgery at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital (currently Rush University Medical Center) and the University of Illinois Research & Educational Hospital’s Neuropsychiatric Institute in Chicago.
Previously he served as Chief of the Medical Staff at Tucson Medical Center and has served as a Physician Member of the Arizona Medical Board (Board of Medical Examiners) and was past Chairman of the Board. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
